An excellent opportunity for an experienced domestic abuse, safeguarding and criminal justice professional to join a specialist domestic abuse team. In this role, you will work directly with perpetrators of domestic abuse, delivering structured behaviour change interventions, supporting safeguarding processes, and contributing to multi-agency case management.

The Project:

This programme is a primary intervention designed to work with individuals who are causing harm in their relationships, with the aim of preventing abusive behaviour and safeguarding those affected. Participants have been assessed as presenting a high level of risk and harm in the context of domestic abuse toward intimate partners or family members. They often have complex, overlapping needs and may be resistant to change. The programme uses an intensive case management approach that both challenges individuals to take responsibility for their behaviour and collaborates with partner agencies, such as law enforcement and social services, to reduce and disrupt abusive patterns.

SALARY: £31,295 per annum + Benefits

LOCATION: Based in Working Surrey. With face-to-face and some remote work and extensive travelling throughout Surrey

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2027

WORKING HOURS: 37 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday, some weekends/evening work may be required

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Behaviour Change Programme Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Case Manager working within a high-impact service focused on reducing domestic abuse and improving victim safety.

As a Behaviour Change Programme Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Case Manager you will engage high-risk perpetrators using motivational interviewing, structured case management, safeguarding and risk management approaches.

The Behaviour Change Programme Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Case Manager will work with multi-agency partners including MARAC, safeguarding, housing, health and criminal justice services to coordinate effective intervention plans.

DUTIES

Your duties as the Behaviour Change Programme Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Case Manager include:

* Manage High-Risk Caseloads: Deliver structured case management to individuals identified as high-risk perpetrators and provide signposting to disruptive and supportive interventions
* Deliver Behaviour Change Interventions: Use motivational interviewing and evidence-based approaches to influence positive change
* Undertake Risk Assessments: Complete robust risk assessments and develop comprehensive safety and support plans
* Work In Multi-Agency Settings: Collaborate with MARAC, safeguarding, housing, and criminal justice partners
* Develop Intervention Plans: Create tailored plans addressing risk factors such as substance misuse, housing, and wellbeing
* Promote Accountability: Challenge behaviours constructively to encourage responsibility and reduce harm
* Prioritise Victim Safety: Work closely with partner services to ensure safeguarding and risk reduction remain central
* Maintain Accurate Records: Ensure all case notes, reports, and data are compliant with legislation and best practice
* Attend Professional Meetings: Represent the service at multi-agency meetings and contribute to decision-making
* Support Service Development: Contribute to continuous improvement, evaluation, and best practice initiatives

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

* Relevant degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent experience
* Previous experience working within safeguarding, public protection, or domestic abuse services
* Experience of multi-agency working including MARAC, MAPPA, or similar frameworks
* Strong understanding of domestic abuse, risk management, and victim impact
* Knowledge of behaviour change approaches and working with complex or challenging behaviours
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills
* Ability to manage conflict, crisis situations, and high-risk cases
* Experience maintaining accurate records, reports, and case management systems
* Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office
* Full driving licence and access to a vehicle with willingness to travel across the region

DESIRABLE

* Experience working directly with perpetrators of domestic abuse
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs such as mental health or substance misuse
* Knowledge of motivational interviewing or trauma-informed practice
* Experience working with young people aged 1625
