We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Service Engineer to join a growing field service team covering the South West region. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem-solving, customer interaction, and working with advanced industrial inspection and weighing technology.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will install, service and repair a wide range of industrial weighing and inspection equipment. You will be customer-facing, representing the business professionally while delivering high-quality technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Service, install and fault-find on a wide range of weighing and inspection systems, including:
Static scales
Automatic check weighing systems
Weigh price labelling systems
Metal detection equipment
X-ray inspection systems
Vision inspection systems
Diagnose and resolve complex electrical, mechanical and network-related faults
Carry out calibration and verification to ensure all legal standards are met
Deliver customer training on equipment operation and best practice
Produce detailed service and incident reports where required
Manage and maintain van stock levels
Maintain calibrated weights and ensure compliance
Participate in equipment rollouts and refit projects
Attend training courses and ensure Health & Safety certifications remain up to date
Work to agreed KPIs and SLAs
Participate in out-of-hours work when required
Travel across the UK when necessary, including occasional overnight stays

Skills & Experience:
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Experience working with industrial equipment (weighing/inspection experience advantageous)
Ability to diagnose network-related issues
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail
Confident communicator with a professional approach
Comfortable working independently and as part of a wider service team
Willingness to work outside standard hours when required
Full, valid UK driving licence
Valid Safety Passport/ECS card (or willingness to obtain)
