Our client who work within Heavy Civils across the UK and are looking for a Project Manager to assist with delivery of projects on the South Coast. The Project Manager will be working for a company that has been established for nearly 100 years, this company offers a comprehensive range of services, within the Civil Engineering industry, from conception through construction to project delivery.
The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational success of a project from award through to end of maintenance period. It is important for this individual to display exceptional leadership skills explaining what is required on Site and how this will take place. This person will be responsible for identifying why events have occurred on site.
Project Manager Job Overview
1. Plan upcoming work, procure subcontractors, and place orders for long lead in materials.
2. Chair weekly site meetings to ensure your site team, (Site Manager/Foreman, Site Engineer) understand what is to be done by when & what can be improved upon & learned from.
3. Update contract programme weekly with project planner, highlighting delays and potential claims to commercial team. Integrate subcontractor work.
4. Manage change and risk (NEC), including early warnings, compensation events and accurate forecasting.
