We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join an innovative team. Key Roles and Responsibilities:
* Curriculum Development: Design, plan, and deliver a differentiated curriculum that is tailored to the individual needs of each student, in line with their Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
* Assessment & Reporting: Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress, identify areas for development, and provide detailed reports to parents and stakeholders.
* IEP Management: Work with the SEN Coordinator and other professionals to create, review, and update comprehensive and effective IEPs for each student.
* Resource Management: Select and create appropriate learning materials and assistive technologies to support a diverse range of learning styles and needs.
* Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists to provide a holistic and integrated support system for students.
* Pastoral Care: Provide emotional and social support, helping students to develop self-regulation skills, positive relationships, and resilience.
What We're Looking For:
* A qualified teacher status (QTS) with a passion for and experience in Special Educational Needs.
* A strong understanding of a variety of SEN conditions, including but not limited to, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), dyslexia, and moderate learning difficulties.
* Proven ability to plan and deliver creative and effective lessons that meet diverse learning needs.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and other professionals.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient professional with a commitment to inclusion and equity.
* Knowledge of the latest safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
* Experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
