What You’ll Do
As a Project Engineer, you’ll provide first‑line leadership to a team of subcontractors, ensuring high‑quality delivery across fire suppression installation projects. Reporting to the Head of Regional Install UK / Contracts Manager UK, you’ll help drive performance, support strategic growth, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
8. Leading installation delivery, quality, and Health & Safety standards
9. Managing your own financial work bank and supporting cost optimisation
10. Coordinating subcontractors on site
11. Monitoring defects, scope deviations, and documentation accuracy
12. Planning manpower and equipment to meet project timelines and budgets
13. Conducting regular safety and quality audits
14. Supporting team development through performance assessments and annual appraisals
15. Managing workload to maximise productivity and forecast accuracy
16. Preparing reports and programmes for senior management
17. Liaising with Credit Control to minimise disputes and support timely invoicing
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a great fit if you bring:
18. Experience working within an installation environment
19. Proven experience supervising or managing engineering teams
20. Strong organisational and communication skills
21. Ability to build, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams
22. A full UK driving licence
23. Experience with Mechanical Fire Suppression systems
24. Ideally 3+ years in the Fire/Sprinkler industry
25. Good PC literacy, including Microsoft Office
26. Knowledge of LPCB BS12845 and/or NFPA standards (preferred)
