We have an exciting opportunity to join our R&D Solutions Function, as part of the ICT Infrastructure team, as a R&D Solution Analyst. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the discovery, evaluation, and delivery of new technology and innovation initiatives across The DDC Group. You will lead research, requirements gathering, and structured documentation to ensure each opportunity is clearly defined, commercially viable, and strategically aligned. You will work directly with stakeholders across operations, finance, IT, commercial, and client services to capture and validate requirements, translating them into clear business documentation and solution frameworks. Acting on their behalf, you will support the full R&D process—from initial scoping through vendor assessment, business case development, and approval preparation. This role is both analytical and collaborative, requiring strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives. You will work closely with the Head of R&D to maintain visibility of the technology stack, coordinate information flow, and ensure all R&D projects are well‑documented, measurable, and delivered through a consistent governance framework. This role is offered on a hybrid / remote basis, and can be discussed in interview. Working hours are 37.5 per week; Monday to Friday. Closing date: 9am on Monday 26th January 2026. Key Responsibilities: Research & Insight Conduct research into emerging technologies, market trends, and potential solution partners to support innovation and decision-making. Maintain an organised library of vendor information, pricing benchmarks, technical documentation, and evaluation notes to ensure quick access to validated data. Gather supporting information to inform build-vs-buy assessments, renewal reviews, and market comparisons. Produce concise research summaries and recommendations for review by the Head of R&D. Requirements & Documentation Lead requirements-gathering sessions with business stakeholders to capture objectives, pain points, and functional needs. Translate inputs into clear, structured documentation such as scoping documents, process flows, requirement lists, and business case drafts. Ensure all documentation follows R&D standards and contributes to consistent, evidence-based decision-making. Maintain and improve R&D templates, trackers, and reference materials to support efficiency and accuracy. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication Engage with stakeholders across Operations, IT, Finance, and Commercial to gather information, confirm assumptions, and align priorities. Act as a liaison between technical, operational, and vendor teams — ensuring consistent communication and expectation management. Manage R&D communications, providing regular updates to stakeholders on request status, progress, and next steps. Represent the R&D function at internal workshops, vendor demonstrations, or industry events, documenting insights and actions for review. Analysis & Reporting Support the development of comparison summaries, cost and benefit analyses, and high-level vendor evaluations. Collate financial and operational data to support ROI and value-for-money assessments. Present findings in a clear, structured format suitable for executive review. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Management Identify opportunities to streamline documentation, data collection, and reporting processes across the R&D framework. Contribute to the ongoing refinement of R&D methodologies, ensuring they remain consistent, scalable, and well-documented. Share learnings, insights, and best practices across the business to support informed technology decision-making. What do you need? Detail-focused — produces accurate, structured, and high-quality documentation. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise outputs. Confident user of the Microsoft 365 suite, particularly Excel (advanced functions such as lookups, pivot tables, and data validation), Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint. Experience producing structured documentation such as process maps, requirement lists, or scoping summaries. Comfortable learning and adapting to new tools, systems, and technologies quickly. Willing to travel within the UK for business requirements such as site visits or stakeholder workshops, with occasional international travel if required for offshore project scoping. Proactive and self-motivated — takes initiative, drives progress independently, and maintains momentum without close supervision. Analytical and inquisitive — enjoys exploring data, systems, and technology to understand how things work and identify opportunities for improvement. Qualifications and Experience: A solid understanding of technology within a contact centre or operational environment, including how systems and processes connect. A genuine interest in technology, systems, and innovation, and how these can improve business efficiency and performance. Exposure to project delivery, digital transformation, or business improvement is advantageous but not essential.
