About the vacancy:

The LUNZ Hub is led at UWE Bristol by Prof Angelina Sanderson Bellamy. The Project Manager will work closely with and be managed by Prof Angelina Sanderson Bellamy, who is the EDI and Social Justice Lead on the LUNZ Hub. The LUNZ Hub is co-led by Prof Lee-Ann Sutherland at The James Hutton Institute and Prof Heiko Baltzer at the University of Leicester. The award commenced on November 13, 2024 and will run until February 28, 2027.

Over 80 team members form the Hub, representing a mix of academic and industry organisations, including WWF, National Trust and many food, farming, land and environmental organisations. LUNZ Hub is a high-profile project, funded by each of the Devolved Administrations, UKRI, Defra and DESNZ, to support the Government’s net zero transition with respect to agriculture and land management. In addition to the Hub, five LUNZ research projects have also been funded by the same funders, with the same objectives, and will form an important part of the LUNZ programme. About you:

The UWE LUNZ Hub project manager will be responsible for overseeing EDI across the Hub and will support tracking of LUNZ Hub impact. They will ensure delivery of a professional service through monitoring of key project targets, particularly as they relate to EDI and impact. The role holder will be directly managed by Prof Angelina Sanderson Bellamy and will be based at UWE, Frenchay Campus. They will be required to carry out detailed assessment and analysis of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across project activities using specialist knowledge to identify appropriate solutions when targets are not being met.

This is a part-time, fixed-term post until 28 February, 2027, working 23 hours per week.
