Job Title: Interim Finance Data & Support Officer Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Duration: 4 weeks Start date: ASAP Rate: £180 - £210 per day We're looking for a highly organised and detail‑focused Interim Finance Data & Support Officer with strong Excel skills to join a social care organisation on a short‑term basis (3-4 weeks). This is a hands‑on role supporting the Head of Finance with a mix of data work, budgeting activity and system support. You do not need to be an accountant per se, but you do need to be confident with numbers, Excel and working with financial information. What you will be doing: Transferring and organising merger‑related data into Excel Supporting the Head of Finance with budget setting for 2026-27 Assisting with management accounts preparation Assisting the set up the new budget within the bespoke finance system Carrying out a range of background tasks to support smooth financial operations To be considered, you will: Possess strong Excel skills (comfortable with formulas, data manipulation and tidy spreadsheets) Have previous experience working within a finance team Ideally have experience working with funding (i. local authority funding, social care funding/finance etc (Preferable) Someone proactive, reliable and able to pick things up quickly Comfortable working closely with the Head of Finance in a small, busy team Available immediately or at very short notice Why this role matters: This short term assignment will play a key part in helping the organisation transition through a merger, prepare for the new financial year and ensure financial information is accurate, organised and ready for reporting.
