We are looking for a receptionist/administrator to join our friendly practice on a permanent basis. You will work as part of the Kings Medical team- made up of two GP partners, a Practice Nurse, two Health Care Assistants and Administerial Staff. We are a medical training practice and you will also work alongside Registrars and FY2 Doctors.
Main duties of the job
 * Provide high quality reception and administrative services for the GP's to ensure efficiency in patient care
 * Deal with telephone and face to face enquiries from staff members, patients, carers and other services providing information, directing and prioritising queries as appropriate
 * Producing reports for solicitors/insurance companies/other outside agencies
 * Scanning and coding of letters
 * Referrals using NHS e-referrals and email
 * Registration of new patients
 * Calling for patients for review who have a chronic disease
 * Take responsibility for own development, learning and performance

Job responsibilities

Any other duties that fall within capabilities as delegated by the practice manager or GP
Qualifications
 * GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
Experience
 * Experience of working within a team
 * Experience of working in primary care
 * Experience of working in a GP practice
 * Experience of using System 1
 * Experience of using NHS e-referrals
