Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and professional physiotherapy/rehabilitation servicefor entitled personnel. This includes undertaking highly skilled and specialist work in the musculoskeletal/sports and training injury area.

You willProvide full support to the line manager in ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and professional rehabilitation service for entitled personnel. This will include undertaking highly skilled andspecialist work, peer review and support to Junior/other physiotherapists and Exercise Rehabilitation Instructor (ERIs) working within the Unit.

Job responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Performing highly skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients referred by Consultants, General Practitioners and other Healthcare Professionals with diverse presentations and complex and acute/chronic physical conditions and sports injuries.
* Using clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis.
* Formulating, developing and delivering a specialised individualised treatment programme based upon current evidence, best practice guidelines, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
* Communicating effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment and a good understanding of their condition in order to maximise rehabilitation potential.
* Managing and prioritising own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively

If found successful for this position, you will be required to provide evidence of your immunity to Hepatitis B. Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the offer of employment being withdrawn.

There is no requirement to deploy as this is met by our uniformed personnel, but you will form the continuity of care required by our patients when based at home.

The post does NOT offer relocation expenses (move of home, excess fares or temporary transfer). Non-Standard move applicants will be eligible for the full package, subject to eligibility.
