Deputy Home Manager
Southport / £15 per hour - 44 hours
My Client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join the team in Southport in their 40 bed Residential Care Home.
About the Role of Deputy Manager
* 44 hours per week
* 3 × 12‑hour shifts on the floor (8am-8pm)
* 1 supernumerary shift per week
* Weekend working included on a rota basis
* On‑call duties shared across the management team
* £15 per hour
As Deputy Home Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care, supporting the Home Manager with day‑to‑day operations, and leading by example on the floor.
Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Manager include:
* Support the Home Manager in the effective running of the home
* Lead and mentor care staff to deliver exceptional person‑centred care
* Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies
* Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
* Assist with staff training, supervision, and development
* Contribute to rota planning, audits, and care planning
* Act as a role model during floor shifts and provide leadership during on‑call duties
About You
We're looking for someone who brings:
* Previous experience in a senior care role (Deputy or Senior Carer level)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* A passion for delivering high‑quality care
* The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and on‑call
* NVQ Level 3 (or working towards Level 4/5) is desirable
