Description
Polo Managing Agency is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriting Oversight & Control Administrator to support the delivery and oversight of our underwriting framework, as well as the onboarding of new syndicates. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective operation of our underwriting governance and control processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Report to the Head of Underwriting Oversight & Onboarding and assist in all matters related to the delivery of the underwriting oversight and controls framework and onboarding of new syndicates.
* Assist the Underwriting Management Team with BAU activities, including but not limited to:
* Tracking exception reports to completion.
* Monitoring Independent Expert Review findings and actions.
* Following up on File Review findings and actions.
* Maintaining a log of DQ checks for the PMA DoU and PMA COO.
* Logging PBQA and Sanctions checks and ensuring closure of actions.
* Logging and closing Peer Review actions.
* Logging and closing audit actions.
Assist in gathering and presenting MI for Underwriting Committee and Syndicate Management Committees packs. Ensure BAU activities are on track. Maintain logs of referrals and electronic files. Record and close actions from meetings. Maintain oversight records related to syndicate activities. Support in maintaining the Underwriting Framework and compliance with Lloyd’s Principles and statutory regulations. Conduct ad hoc reviews and projects as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experience in Lloyd’s or Company market underwriting support preferred but not essential.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
* Strong IT skills, especially Excel.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships.
* ACII qualification or working towards it.
* Understanding of underwriting oversight and controls preferred.
* Experience in managing agents or the Company Market is a plus.
