The Role
The NHSL OHAS team is currently recruiting for an Assistant Case Manager to join our dynamic support team within Salus, based at Beckford Street in Hamilton. This is a full time Band 4 post with a specifc remit for supporting mental health and muskuloskeltal related staff sickness absence. The role involves telephone support, signposting and onward referral where appropriate. This post can be intense but also incredibly rewarding, working with a wider support team. We are particularly interested in applicants who have telephone experience working with individuals requiring mental health support. In addition, experience of working with a range of Microsoft office packages or databases are advantageous. Additonal training will be provided for the successful candidate.

What we'll need you to bring
* Educated to HNC level (Health & Social Care, Business Admin, counselling Advice & guidance) or equivalent experience with an NHS or social care setting.
* Knowledge of client health and employability issues is essential
* Proven and well developed interpersonal skills and working with individuals on a one-to-one basis
* Excellent communication and motivational skills
* Administrative knowledge and experience
* Experience of working with people in a variety of settings
* Demonstrable relevant experience in an office administration capacity.
* Experience of a range of software packages including Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Excel (incl. complex formulas).
* Well developed interpersonal skills in customer care.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good organisational and planning skills.
* Understanding of a range of procedures and processes.
* Ability to prioritise work and work on own initiative whilst under pressure.
* Proficient I.T. skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
* Ensuring confidentiality, diplomacy and discretion are maintained at all times
It would be great if you also have
* ECDL or equivalent proficiency
* Experience in dealing with customer care issues
* Experience of analysis and provision of general information
* Experience of working with Partner agencies, including the voluntary and independent sectors
* Experience of working in Primary Care
* Experience of working with databases and/or knowledge of Microsoft Access
* Previous call centre or equivalent experience
* Knowledge and understanding of HR / Once for Scotland policies
* Knowledge and understanding of mental health and musculoskeletal issues
* An ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
