Offer description

Compassion in World Farming International is a global movement transforming the future of food and farming. We're seeking a passionate and skilled High Value Events Manager to shape and deliver meaningful donor experiences across the UK, US and Europe, helping supporters connect with our mission to end factory farming

Job Type: Full time; Permanent
Location: Godalming, UK (hybrid working pattern 2x days in the office: Tuesdays & Thursdays)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience)

About the Role:

As our High Value Events Manager, you'll help create meaningful and memorable experiences that connect supporters with our mission. Working across the UK, US, and Europe, you will develop and deliver high‑value donor events that inspire, inform, and deepen engagement with our work.

As part of this exciting role, you'll be responsible for:

Lead the Global Events Strategy: Own and develop a 12–18 month programme of high‑value donor events aligned to Philanthropy, Mid‑Level and Legacy priorities.
Deliver Exceptional Events: Plan and manage the end‑to‑end delivery of in‑person and virtual events, including receptions, exclusive briefings, behind‑the‑scenes sessions, and bespoke donor experiences.
Enhance Donor Stewardship: Create compelling event experiences that support donor cultivation and stewardship, working closely with Philanthropy and Legacy teams.
Design Creative, Mission‑Led Experiences: Use strong creative and organisational skills to bring Compassion's work to life through thoughtful, engaging event formats.
High‑Value Engagement: This role centres on high‑value donor events rather than mass‑participation fundraising, including major donor gatherings, mid‑level donor events, legacy supporter activities, and the occasional internal team away day.
Relationship Building: Build excellent working relationships with internal teams, external speakers, and partners to ensure impactful delivery.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll need to be a confident, creative and highly organised events professional with experience delivering high‑value donor or fundraising events in an international context. You'll bring a blend of strategic thinking, strong project management and a passion for creating memorable experiences that inspire supporters and strengthen their connection to our mission.

Skills and experience you'll need to bring as our High Value Events Manager:
High‑Value Event Expertise: A proven track record in designing, coordinating and delivering successful high‑value events, both virtual and in‑person, ideally within a fundraising, philanthropy or membership environment.
Experience Supporting Donor Engagement: Understanding of mid‑level, major donor and legacy stewardship, with the ability to create event experiences that enhance donor journeys in partnership with Philanthropy and Legacy teams.
Exceptional Organisation & Project Management: Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple events, timelines and stakeholders across different countries.
Strong Communication & Collaboration: Excellent relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to work closely with senior colleagues, external speakers and global teams.
Adaptability & Problem‑Solving: Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, international setting, responding creatively and calmly to changing priorities.
Technical Confidence: Competence in CRM systems (ideally Salesforce), MS Office, and digital event tools/platforms.

If you don't meet every requirement but believe you could thrive in this role, we encourage you to apply.

Why Should You Apply:

In this role, you'll create memorable donor experiences that genuinely contribute to ending factory farming and building a more compassionate future for animals, people and the planet.

About Compassion:

Compassion in World Farming International is a leading global organisation working to end factory farming. Founded in 1967 by British farmer Peter Roberts, we've spent over 50 years driving change, successfully campaigning to ban cruel practices such as barren battery cages, veal crates, and sow stalls across the UK and Europe.

Our work combines advocacy, campaigning, and collaboration with policymakers and businesses to promote animal welfare and sustainable food systems. We envision a future where animals are treated with compassion, and farming supports both people and the planet. To learn more about our mission, culture, and opportunities, please explore our Candidate Pack and Careers Page.
