We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Principal Teacher for Canonbie Primary School, a rural school situated in the picturesque village of Canonbie, Dumfries and Galloway. The successful candidate will deputise for the Headteacher, lead learning initiatives, and ensure the highest quality experiences for all children.
Applicants must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT, in the appropriate sector.
This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment from Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have resided outside the UK within the last 5 years will be required to provide a police record check from the relevant authorities in the country or countries of residence, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check.
