About the role
At Hillingdon, we are proud of our commitment to Putting Our Residents First. We are looking for a strong team leader to join us, leading, supervising, and coordinating the work of a very busy Resettlement Team.
This is a vital role within Hillingdon's Resettlement Support Service, where you will manage a dedicated team supporting the administration and operational work that impacts vulnerable adults, children, and families displaced due to conflict or crisis and arriving under Government resettlement schemes.
As Resettlement Support Team Leader, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality operational and administrative support across a range of humanitarian schemes, including:
* Afghan Resettlement Programmes (ARAP & ACRS)
* Homes for Ukraine
* Asylum Dispersal (NASS clients)
* Other Home Office-led and FCDO-directed schemes
You will work closely with colleagues, stakeholders, and the Home Office to ensure accurate reporting, budget monitoring, and effective service delivery, while supporting your team to deliver excellent outcomes for residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, supervise, and support up to four officers in delivering resettlement services.
* Allocate workloads, set priorities, and monitor performance against service targets.
* Conduct one-to-ones and reviews, supporting staff development and consistent standards.
* Ensure residents receive a professional, empathetic, and resident-focused service.
* Oversee accurate case records, data returns, and reporting to internal and external bodies.
* Monitor budgets and spending streams, completing funding claims in line with Home Office deadlines.
* Act as a key point of contact for enquiries from residents, partner agencies, and government departments.
* Support other Team Leaders in managing urgent arrivals and FCDO-directed placements.
* Drive continuous improvement, sharing best practice and adapting to changes in guidance or policy.
About You
We are looking for a compassionate and driven leader with:
* Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
* Extensive experience in a resettlement support environment, ideally with Homes for Ukraine, ARAP, ACRS, or NASS clients.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage dynamic, fast-paced work.
* Experience of monitoring budgets, completing reports, and meeting funding requirements.
* The confidence to respond quickly to emerging needs and support colleagues in high-pressure situations.
* A commitment to resident-focused service and supporting vulnerable families and individuals.
What We Offer
* The chance to lead a service that makes a real difference in people's lives.
* A supportive, collaborative working environment.
* Professional development opportunities.
* Access to a range of employee benefits.
