Main duties of the job
We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Health Visiting Team Leader who is responsive to current approaches in delivering the Healthy Child Programme. You should bring a strong understanding of both local and national children and young people’s health priorities, alongside a proven ability to identify and manage safeguarding concerns.
You will need to demonstrate:
1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
2. Confidence in working autonomously and in leading a team
3. Flexibility in delivering care across diverse communities
4. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands
Although your primary base will be within a Health Visiting locality, this role requires flexibility to work across other sites within the two Boroughs covered by the Trust. You must be able to travel across sites and arrive on time for the start of the working day, in line with service needs.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The team leader will provide effective and efficient leadership to the health visiting team within the designated area and ensure all families with children under 5 years have information on how to access universal services.
The post holder will work with the Community Matron on new initiatives, working with the multidisciplinary team to foster effective partnerships with the various agencies - Early years / Children’s centre staff, social workers and GPs to meet the needs of vulnerable children and families.
