About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis from Monday to Friday. You will play a vital role in supporting personalised learning programmes, helping students build practical skills, develop independence and maintain emotional wellbeing.
* Support tutors with lesson preparation and personalised learning resources
* Provide 1:1 and small-group assistance to help learners work towards their goals
* Use a range of communication methods, such as Makaton, to support understanding
* Assist in outdoor and enterprise-based learning activities
* Promote emotional wellbeing and independence alongside pastoral and curriculum staff
* Record progress accurately using digital systems and contribute to evidence gathering
* Help maintain a safe, motivating and inclusive learning environment
* Participate in training, meetings and quality assurance processes

Essential Experience
* At least 6 months childcare experience, ideally with SEN learners
* A compassionate, patient and proactive approach
* Confidence supporting young people with varied and complex needs
* A willingness to learn new communication and support strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
