Support Worker
LOCATION : Newquay and Penryn HOURS : 37 WORKING PATTERN:
Monday - Sunday - 8am to 9pm on a 4 week rolling rota, Working Pattern: Mon - Sun, 8am - 9pm. 3 days per week in Penryn and 2 days per week in Newquay. Deliver Tailored Support:
Provide responsive, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, including those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, and those presenting with challenging behaviour in relation to mental ill health and alcohol & substance misuse, helping them achieve positive outcomes and independence. Support with Housing Needs:
Assist individuals in accessing, maintaining, and sustaining appropriate accommodation, including support with housing applications, tenancy management, liaising with landlords, and preventing homelessness. Foster Collaboration:
Build open and trusting relationships with customers, colleagues, and partner agencies to ensure seamless and comprehensive support. Promote Participation:
Encourage individuals to engage in social, educational and employment opportunities, preventing isolation and promoting self-determination. Manage Risks Effectively:
Conduct thorough risk assessments and maintain professional boundaries, ensuring health, safety and compliance with safeguarding policies. About The Candidate:
Have an understanding of support needs and support planning. Have experience of risk assessing and risk management. Be a great communicator with the ability to build rapport. Have accurate record keeping and computer skills. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and responsive environment. Confident in lone working and be a good team player. Have a flexible working approach to work. Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Be resilient and adaptable. Have an open, friendly personality and the ability to maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations. Essential:
