Ricardo in Leamington Spa are seeking a buyer to take the lead on the Raw Materials procurement activity. We’re looking for an individual with manufacturing purchasing experience, great attention to detail and good at spreadsheet analysis for decision making.
Role Purpose
* Purchasing of high value, technically complex, low volume components, and raw materials, including monitoring of on-time delivery.
* Reporting of KPI measures.
* Daily expediting to achieve excellent OTIF and avoid any parts supply issues.
* Negotiating on price and terms with suppliers.
* Assisting with material forecasting based on data analysis.
Technical And Professional Skills, Knowledge, And Qualifications
* Experience in purchasing ideally in a manufacturing environment.
* Reporting according to KPI measures.
* Daily expediting to achieve excellent OTIF and avoid any parts supply issues.
* Internal and external customer focus, problem solving and query resolution.
* A good level of knowledge and use of the MS Suite, particularly Excel for V Look ups and Pivot Tables.

* Happy to work within a team and on own alongside other experienced professionals.
Desirable
* Experience of buying raw materials such as steel, castings and forgings would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
* Automotive or aerospace experience or awareness of those industry’s processes.
* Experience of working with MRP/ERP systems for manufacturing.
* CIPS qualification.
* Advanced Excel.
