An exciting opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our team as a Senior Rotational Clinical Pharmacist. If you’re an ambitious and forward‑thinking individual seeking to enhance your clinical expertise while honing your management skills, then this position is tailor‑made for you.
As one of South West London’s largest teaching hospitals, we offer a unique opportunity to expand your clinical knowledge. Our status as an Acute Trust ensures you will be exposed to a diverse range of medical conditions, allowing pharmacists to develop a breadth of clinical expertise. Additionally, we host the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre and a dedicated paediatric hospital at St Helier, providing a valuable opportunity to work with a broad patient population.
As a Senior Rotational Clinical Pharmacist, you’ll work across a number of different rotations, including critical care, paediatrics, surgery, and a variety of medical specialties. Your daily responsibilities will encompass ward‑based tasks, chart reviews, clinical interventions, working closely with the medical team to optimise medication regimens, patient education on medications, screening discharge prescriptions, and supporting junior or trainee pharmacists. In addition, you’ll take the lead in conducting audits and driving quality improvement initiatives.
During 6‑monthly rotations you will provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical service, working towards expert‑level knowledge and being supported to develop managerial skills and expertise by working towards agreed objectives.
This position is full‑time with a requirement for 37.5 hours of work per week, including participation in seven‑day working and on‑call rotas. However, we are open to applications from individuals seeking part‑time, job‑share, or flexible working arrangements.
