The Role
We seek an inspiring and strategic Lifestyle Director to lead the growth of House & Garden’s premium lifestyle content. This senior leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of lifestyle editorial coverage, including food, travel, lifestyle features, and bespoke events. The goal is to shape the brand’s voice, elevate storytelling, and build strategic partnerships to establish House & Garden as an authority in sophisticated living.
What will you be doing?
* Develop and execute a bold, innovative lifestyle content strategy across print, digital, social media, and events.
* Lead and motivate a talented editorial team, fostering creativity and collaboration.
* Oversee commissioning, editing, and publication of high-impact features and special issues aligned with brand identity and audience interests.
* Cultivate relationships with designers, garden specialists, culinary experts, travel partners, and luxury brands for exclusive content and collaborations.
* Create digital content including articles, videos, and social media campaigns to boost engagement and growth.
* Collaborate with commercial teams on brand partnerships, sponsored content, and activations.
* Organize flagship events, awards, and panels to position House & Garden as a thought leader.
* Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
* Represent the brand at industry events and client meetings.
* Stay informed about industry trends and emerging content opportunities.
* Lead initiatives to enhance audience engagement and digital innovation.
* Mentor junior team members, fostering an inclusive and positive work environment.
About You
* Experienced editorial professional with a background in lifestyle content, preferably within premium magazines, digital platforms, or luxury brands.
* Passionate about interiors, outdoor living, culinary arts, travel, and lifestyle trends.
* Exceptional storyteller with a keen eye for detail and compelling narratives.
* Skilled at building relationships with high-net-worth individuals, brands, and industry leaders.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
* Confident in hosting events and engaging with stakeholders.
* Innovative, forward-thinking, and always seeking growth opportunities.
* Digital-savvy with expertise in social media, content marketing, SEO, and multimedia storytelling.
