Role: Electrical Control System Designer (Electrical Panel Design, with the need to know the basics of PLC programming, and someone who is willing to do a small amount of Customer sitework in the UK) Experience: Must be from a highly technical, electrical background Electrical or Control Systems Qualification (Apprenticeship, B-TEC, ONC, HNC, HND, Degree, all considered alongside work experience) Minimum 5 years industrial experience of Electrical Control Panel / Control Systems Design Essential skills: Fluent in English Use of CAD software to create electrical drawings * Can be AutoCAD Electrical, SEE, E-Plan or SolidWorks Electrical (others considered) Good understanding of machine components (mechanical / electrical / pneumatic) Ability to understand and make basic edits to PLC programs (Siemens) Conversant with Microsoft Office Suite of Applications * Good level of Microsoft Excel Very high level of accuracy and attention to detail Warm and helpful personality, which is essential to fit into the small, friendly environment Desirable but not essential skills: Ex / CompEx / ATEX knowledge or experience would be a benefit Experience with stepper or servo motors and drives Experience with industrial cameras Good understanding of mechanical engineering Working in a machine building environment We are looking for someone: * outgoing, enthusiastic, confident, hard Working and self-motivated. * with Electrical Control Panel / Controls System Design Experience who wants to move in the future into more of a Project Engineer / Customer Support or Technical Manager type of role * with good attention to detail and high level of professionalism is essential * willing to roll sleeves up and muck in as part of a small team * positive and friendly, who is happy to help other team members with whatever may be needed, for the good of the everyone in the company.
