Overview
Were currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a well-established law firm in their Probate department, based in Mansfield. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to fee earners, helping ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and process incoming post, ensuring any key dates or urgent matters are identified and acted upon promptly.
2. Prepare accurate legal documents, correspondence, and forms from digital dictation, written, or verbal instruction, using templates and precedents where required.
3. Handle incoming telephone calls, take clear messages, and ensure timely communication with the relevant fee earner.
4. Maintain diaries, organise appointments, and assist with meeting preparation to support smooth day-to-day operations.
5. Meet and liaise with clients both in person and over the phone, delivering a professional and courteous service at all times (note: no legal advice to be provided).
6. Maintain confidentiality of all client and firm information at all times.
7. Liaise with third parties such as solicitors, barristers, courts, and other professionals as necessary.
