Theatres-Clyde division-RAH Main Theatre Department. Band 6 CN-Anaesthetics. The shift pattern for this post includes early, late, nights, and weekends (Mon-Sun).
Main theatres RAH are excited to announce a vacancy for a CN within the main theatre suite for the anaesthetic service. This is an opportunity to join a well-established theatre team, providing expert care in a dynamic and compassionate environment to patients accessing theatre services for both scheduled and unscheduled care including maternity services.
Responsibilities
* Provide perioperative care within the anaesthetic service as part of the main theatre suite at RAH.
* Work alongside a team of CNs under the leadership of a Senior ODP and with support from the perioperative educational team.
* Contribute to care across a 7-day week service and engage in multi-site working within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as required.
* Support delivery of services across nine theatres, including CEPOD (24/7) and obstetric maternity theatres, and participate in a 12-bed recovery area and related service areas.
Qualifications and Experience
* Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent; evidence of continuing professional development.
* At least 2 years RN/ODP experience within the anaesthetic perioperative environment.
* Extensive perioperative theatre background within anaesthetics and a demonstrated capacity for ongoing professional development.
* PVG Scheme membership/Disclosure Scotland Check; NMC/HCPC Registered.
