MOT Tester/Vehicle Technician required in Paignton
1. £35,000 - £40,000 a year
2. Monday - Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm.
3. Flexible working hours possibility if required.
My client is a family owned and ran independent garage looking for an additional member of staff to add to its very professional, small and friendly team.

The ideal Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester will ideally have 3 or more years experience working in a workshop environment and qualified to Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology (Equivalent qualifications and / or time served also considered).
Must be capable of working under their own initiative and as part of a team when required.

This position will involve performing diagnostic work, repairs, servicing, and MOT testing on a range of vehicles. The ideal Technician will have a strong mechanical background, a good eye for detail, and a dedication to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
4. Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
5. Perform general servicing, maintenance, and repair work
6. Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical issues
7. Complete relevant documentation and maintain records of work
8. Ensure health and safety standards are followed
Requirements:
9. Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
10. Valid MOT Licence (preferred)
11. Previous experience in as a technician
12. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
13. Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets
