We are currently looking for a Laboratory Coordinator to join a leading Pharmaceutical company based in the Cambridgeshire area. As the Laboratory Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of essential laboratory functions, including equipment maintenance and reagent management.
This is an initial 24 month contract and the equivalent salary is up to £28,800 p/a.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Laboratory Coordinator will be varied; however, the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. As the Laboratory Coordinator, you will oversee laboratory maintenance, including glass-washing, autoclaving consumables, and supporting equipment maintenance such as water bath decontamination and pipette calibration.
2. As the Laboratory Coordinator, you will manage consumables and reagents, ensuring timely restocking and inventory control.
3. As the Laboratory Coordinator, you will coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, including storage, inventory, and liaising with customers, third-party vendors, and other development sites.
4. As the Laboratory Coordinator, you will represent the Cell and Molecular Biology team in engineering meetings, support work permits, and manage onboarding and retiring of equipment.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Laboratory Coordinator, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Biology or a related field.
2. Proven industry experience in laboratory and technical settings.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with laboratory equipment maintenance and reagent management.
