We are seeking adynamic, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Registered Nurse (RN)to join our busy and expandingOutpatients Department. This is a fantasticdevelopment opportunityfor a Band 5 or Band 6 RN looking to advance their leadership and clinical skills within a supportive and progressive environment.

You will act as a resource for patients, nursing, and medical colleagues, contributing to the delivery of high-quality care and supporting the development of outpatient services in alignment with theFHFT 2025–2030 Future Strategy.
• You will be expected to demonstrate high standards, displaying a variety of expert clinical competence, role modelling clear professional and organisational values inleading OPD areas, additionally managing service requirements and supporting the Senior team.
• In conjunction with Practice Development, you will assess and actively support the Registered Nurses and Care Support Workers to practice competently and develop within their roles to ensure a high standard of care and patient experience are maintained in line with the Frimley Health Strategy, vision and Values.

• To lead and monitor the quality, performance and standards of care within the departments and nursing team.
• To ensure the implementation of the clinical governance agenda. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining and reviewing standards of care on a regular basis, implementing changes to improve the service and ensuring systems are in place to manage all risk and to regulate professional practice.
• Carry out appraisals for bands 5, 4 and 2.
• To work with practice development lead and senior OPD team in facilitating the review and updating of SOP's policies, risk assessments and guidelines.
• Support students.
• Where issues of clinical competence and capability are identified, work with the Practice Development Lead and department manager to develop an action plan to support and overcome these.
• To lead, in conjunction with the senior sister, matron and practice development lead, the outpatient departmental meeting and educational half days, keeping up to date with the wider NHS and nursing agenda and initiative
• Pro-actively respond to complaints, follow these through and cascade information and learning to the wider team.
• To lead on projects as appropriate.
• To work with in conjunction with the Senior and multi-disciplinary teams ensuring excellent and effective communication is maintained.
• To liaise with Matron and Senior Sister with regard to untoward incidents, complaints and staffing concerns, reporting these via the RL system.
• To actively lead and embed local and national initiatives, models of working and service development into practice.
• To work with Practice Development Lead and Senior OPD team in facilitating the review and updating of SOP’s, policies and guidelines.
• To assist the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse in:
The recruitment and selection of nursing staff.
The Induction of bank/agency and new staff to the clinical area.
• To ensure compliance with all FH and OPD policies and guidelines, e.g. (but not limited to) consent, chaperoning, WHO checklist, COSHH, Information Governance.
