Procurement at TalkTalk is evolving. We envision a procurement function that aligns with and delivers TalkTalk's business strategy through effective supplier relationships. To realize this vision, we seek a small team of skilled, experienced, and credible category managers to collaborate with business stakeholders.

Your responsibilities include:
1. Proactively managing TalkTalk spend within your category using comprehensive strategies to align with business objectives, measuring success through KPIs, including financial and non-financial metrics.
2. Identifying and prioritizing opportunities for procurement to add value, executing strategic sourcing or negotiations, establishing contracts, and managing performance throughout contract lifecycle.
3. Representing procurement in relevant leadership teams, including the Executive Committee and direct reports.
4. Building and supporting business cases through appropriate governance processes.
5. Being a proactive and positive member of the TalkTalk procurement team.
Core skills required:
* Influencing challenging stakeholders and fostering close collaboration.
* Building strong relationships based on trust and respect.
* Experience delivering value through strategic procurement activities.
* Managing RFx processes, planning, and executing sourcing projects efficiently.
* Skilled negotiator.
* Data literacy with proficiency in Excel and deriving insights from complex data sets.
* Understanding of financial accounting principles, including P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow.
* Attention to detail with strategic and long-term thinking.
* Knowledge of commercial contracts, including drafting.
* Understanding SRM principles, performance, and contractual management.
* Enthusiasm for growth through training and industry events.
* Experience in the Telecom industry is not required.
Category-specific skills:
* Passion for sourcing, negotiation, and delivering savings.
* Knowledge of Supply Chain best practices.
