Spire Norwich Hospital is looking to recruit an Operations Director to join its Senior Management Team. You will provide inspirational professional leadership to all operational service areas, working closely with the Hospital Director, Director of Clinical Services and the Finance Director. Managing a large, multi-disciplinary team, the Operations Director is instrumental in delivering the Annual Operating Plan in line with the strategy for the Hospital.

Spire Norwich Hospital delivers high standards of care to our insured, self-pay and NHS patients. We offer in-patient / day case procedures including orthopaedics, gynaecology, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat and general surgery and also diagnostic services including imaging and pathology. We also offer out-patient services, such as consulting, minor procedures, treatments, health checks and physiotherapy.
Key Responsibilities Of This Role Include
* Manage the capacity of the Hospital to maximise the throughput of patients and utilisation of all facilities in line with safe standards of care
* Lead all non-clinical services and colleagues within the Hospital through their Heads of Departments to build highly engaged teams who provide efficient and consistent ways of working in line with the Spire Healthcare one best way
* Manage the day-to-day operational performance of the Hospital to deliver the financial targets and key performance indicators in partnership with the Hospital Director, Director of Clinical Services, Finance Director and Director of Sales and Business Development
* Oversee the risk management process and to foster a culture of open reporting and learning to improve patient care.
Who We're Looking For
* Significant previous experience at a senior management level within a Healthcare or similar setting
* Management of a large and multi-disciplinary team
* Effective leadership skills with proven experience within administration and people management
* Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with motivation to be operational to support our teams at all times
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including listening and facilitation skills
* Ability to build relationships with all customer groups
* Project management experience
* Highly literate and numerate with strong analytical ability
* Commercially astute, results driven, high levels of determination and initiative.
* Passion for customer service
* Ability to influence diverse sets of audiences
