Overview

The School of Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Bioveterinary Science to develop and maintain a leading research programme in any branch of veterinary science. They will also contribute to teaching, particularly the development and delivery of our new Bioveterinary Science undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This is a permanent position, representing a commitment to the long-term support and development of the successful candidate.


Research and Teaching Context

The School of Life Sciences has existing research strengths in infectious diseases of humans, plants and animals, bioengineering, entomology, biotechnology, neuroscience, and ecology. Our research is supported by a newly built insectary and containment level 2 and 3 laboratory suites. We benefit from close collaborations with the Harper & Keele Veterinary School and the Keele School of Medicine.


Responsibilities

* Develop and maintain a leading research programme in veterinary science (in any branch).
* Contribute to teaching and the development and delivery of Bioveterinary Science undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
* Collaborate with colleagues across Keele University and related schools to advance research and teaching objectives.


Qualifications

* Ph.D. in any field relating to veterinary science.
* A track record of academic achievement demonstrating potential to lead an independent programme of research within the school.
* A degree in veterinary science would be an advantage.
* Ability to incorporate knowledge, expertise and experiences into engaging learning opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
