Teaching Assistant – Full Time

Working with Teaching Personnel
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work through Teaching Personnel at a welcoming primary school based in Newton Abbot. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them thrive in a positive, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide in-class support across EYFS/KS1/KS2 as required
* Work closely with children with SEN, offering tailored support to meet individual needs
* Assist the class teacher with classroom management
* Help create an inclusive, engaging, and well-organised learning environment
* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
* Support with intervention groups and 1:1 learning where needed
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience or a passion for supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)
* Is patient, nurturing, and confident working with a range of abilities
* Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team
* Is proactive, reliable, and committed to helping children achieve their best
* Brings energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
