Leader Education are seeking an Inclusive Education Assistant to join the team in a specialist provision in County Durham.
This specialist setting provides high-quality education for children and young people aged 2–19, supporting a diverse range of needs including autism, complex learning difficulties, communication barriers, social, emotional and mental health needs, and physical disabilities. The school fosters a highly inclusive and supportive environment, where every pupil is valued, encouraged, and empowered to reach their full potential.
As part of the role, you will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support in line with individual education plans, while assisting in the delivery of differentiated lessons across the curriculum to meet a range of learning needs. Monitor and share pupil progress with teaching staff, encouraging independence and fostering positive attitudes towards learning. Support the development of communication, social, and essential life skills, and apply behaviour management strategies consistently in line with school policy.
