We are currently recruiting Daily Supply Teaching Assistants to work in a well-established independent SEN school in Kingston upon Thames. This is an excellent opportunity for compassionate, adaptable individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and looking for flexible work through an education agency.
This specialist setting supports pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, social communication needs, and associated learning differences. The school provides a nurturing, structured environment where pupils are supported both academically and emotionally.
The Role As a Daily Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist the class teacher with delivering tailored learning activities
Help implement EHCP targets and individual support strategies
Promote positive behaviour using consistent, supportive approaches
Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation
Contribute to a safe, calm and engaging learning environmentIdeal Candidate We are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work or similar settings)
Is patient, resilient and able to remain calm under pressure
Has a genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Is flexible and reliable for short-term and day-to-day coverTeam Teach training or experience supporting autism/complex needs is desirable but not essential.
