Friday 7am - 1pm Overtime available 6 month initial Contract The Role We are currently recruiting Engine Builders to support rail industry operations based in Burton-upon-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-quality engineering environment, carrying out the rebuild and assembly of rail engine components, while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. This is a hands on role and involves the reassembly and rebuilding of diesel engines, supporting the production of Cummins and MTU diesel engines to rail industry standards. Key Responsibilities As an Engine Builder, your duties will include: Stripping and rebuilding mechanical engines in line with work instructions Working accurately to OEM manuals and technical documentation Reading and interpreting engine assembly specifications to plan and complete build activities Verifying part conformity against stock lists using measuring equipment such as callipers, gauges, and micrometres Essential Previous experience working in a similar role, building engines for different sectors such as automotive or industrial Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work independently when required Interested?
