THE JOB ROLE
Due to our continued success and rapid growth, this is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Mineral Planning and Estates professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be based at our new Head Office in Kincardine and will play a key role in developing the future land supply of our business, managing a portfolio of mineral extraction and processing sites, estates, and land assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
* Manage and assist in developing the Tillicoultry Quarries Mineral Estate portfolio.
* Lead planning projects, including submitting applications, monitoring processes, responding to comments, and discharging conditions.
* Provide expert advice to ensure the license to operate is maintained.
* Identify, assess, and secure new land and mineral opportunities for future development.
* Work with landowners and agents to progress land acquisitions and planning applications.
* Engage with local planning authorities to promote sites and discuss development proposals.
* Advise operational and commercial teams on site development, estates management, and environmental issues.
* Engage with stakeholders and local communities to foster relationships and participation in local liaison events.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
* Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably in planning.
* Experience in the extractives industry.
* Strong knowledge of the planning process, legislation, and guidance related to minerals planning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (preferably at an advanced level).
* Problem-solving skills, proactive approach, and ability to work to deadlines.
* Full UK Driving License and willingness to travel across UK sites.
