Vacancy: We are looking to looking to recruit a new Forklift Truck Operator. The successful candidate will work closely with the Stores Manager and Team Leader. The role is onsite working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, 7.30am 4pm, £13 per hour. What are we looking for? Current counterbalance/bendi licence Prior experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting Familiarity with materials handling techniques and best practices Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols Experience with shipping and receiving processes is a plus Full driving licence is a plus Good stores keeping experience Keep items in the correct place Checking in deliveries and checking for any damage Job responsibilities: Assist in the flow of materials to the shop floor Accurate and detailed picking of parts and placing in designated area/receptacle Taking parts and consumables to the designated fitting area To carry out physical stock counting to ensure stock levels are maintained To assist with quarterly stock takes as requested by your Team Leader Ensure high standard of housekeeping in storage areas Provision of counter service to Fitters Ensure high value items are stored securely Ensure all parts/products are available to fitters Responsibility for the maintenance of quarantine area and all returns working with your Team Leader Safe loading of racks and racking equipment All yard housekeeping Safe operation of vehicle movements on site Coordination of deliveries to TGS Forklift driving Handling heavy lifting tasks to move materials within the warehouse Follow the goods procedure Collaborating with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a safe working environment
