Overview
The GP Patch Associate Dean will work with the Primary Care Dean, Head of School and Deputy Head of School for General Practice to coordinate and manage postgraduate general practice training activities within the Portsmouth and Isle of Wight patch region.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, provision and management of postgraduate GP training activities.
- Support Educational and Clinical Supervisors to provide high quality supervision for GP resident doctors.
- Work with team across health and social care sectors to ensure training reflects changing service models and delivers an integrated workforce.
- Collaborate with the Head of School and Primary Care Dean, and contribute to strategy work in the Wessex region.
Qualifications
- Medical background and qualified to practice.
- Experience of education in a community or primary care setting.
- Registered with a valid license to practice.
Conditions of Employment
- Fixed term contract until 31 March 2027.
- Contractual office base with expectation to spend at least 40% of time working in offices.
- No visa sponsorship is available.
- Successful applicants within NHS may be subject to an Inter‑Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR).
