About the role
Our fantastic client are a member organisation with a fantastic in‑house team who are looking for a strategic, data‑driven Head of CRO & UX to lead conversion optimisation and user experience across their digital ecosystem. A brand new role, we are looking for someone that can lead on CRO and hopefully have a good grasp of UX to work with internal designers, business stakeholders and external developers to ensure the website is delivering for members and wider stakeholders. This role sits at the heart of their Marketing function and plays a critical role in driving commercial growth, member acquisition, engagement and retention. You’ll own experimentation, elevate UX standards and optimise digital journeys end‑to‑end—using insight, testing and user‑centred design to deliver measurable impact. You’ll be experienced enough to be able to manage internal relationships, whilst putting your proposed ideas across confidently. You’ll know how to run tests yourself and take findings forward to continually improve the experience our client’s members receive. What you’ll be doing
Conversion Rate Optimisation
* Own and deliver the CRO roadmap across web and mobile experiences
* Lead research, hypothesis creation, and prioritisation of A/B and multivariate testing
* Analyse user behaviour and funnel performance using GA, Hotjar and similar tools
* Partner with Acquisition and Lifecycle teams to align optimisation with campaign and renewal goals
* Collaborate with Product, Design and IT to implement and measure experiments
* Continuously improve landing pages, onboarding flows, checkout funnels and messaging
User Experience (UX)
* Define and own the UX strategy, ensuring frictionless and intuitive journeys
* Lead user research including usability testing, interviews, personas and journey mapping
* Partner with designers to shape wireframes, prototypes and scalable design systems
* Work closely with Brand and Content teams to optimise messaging and creative for clarity and conversion
* Champion accessibility best practices (including WCAG compliance) across digital platforms
Leadership & Strategy
* Build, mentor and lead a high‑performing CRO & UX team
* Align optimisation initiatives with company OKRs and growth targets
* Embed a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring
o 7+ years’ experience in CRO, UX, UI or product optimisation roles
o A proven track record of improving conversion funnels with measurable results
o Strong understanding of UX principles, user psychology and journey mapping
o Hands‑on experience with tools such as GA, Optimizely, VWO, Hotjar, Figma and similar
o Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across teams
o A highly analytical, data‑first mindset with strong problem‑solving ability
o Experience building, mentoring or leading teams
