Job Title: Customer Service Advisor

Overall Job Purpose

The Customer Services Directorate is seeking to fill a Customer Service Advisor position within our Customer Service Team. Our team provides a first-class service to our customers, ensuring the highest standards of customer care are maintained at all times. Services handled by our Customer Services Team include:

* Cleansing
* Environmental Health
* Car Parks
* Council Tax & Business Rates
* Benefits
* Planning & Building Control
* Elections
* Housing
* Switchboard


Candidate Requirements

* Willingness to work as part of a team to deliver high-quality customer service
* Performance-driven with the ability to meet targets
* Experience working in a pressured environment, preferably involving advice, guidance, and problem-solving via telephone and face-to-face interactions
* Excellent telephone, communication, and IT skills
* Flexible and adaptable nature
* Quick learner with a willingness to develop knowledge of customer service processes and procedures
* Ability to use various computer systems to access and process information
* Ability to build good working relationships within the team and across other council services
* Enthusiasm, drive, commitment, and reliability


Benefits and Additional Information

The role is predominantly office-based at Bognor Regis Town Hall and Littlehampton Civic Centre. The successful candidate will be appointed at £31,537 per annum, with salary increments at the start of each financial year until the top of the scale is reached.
