An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who is interested in joining the radiology service based in the radiology department at Bronglais Hospital.
You will be on hand to support the patients in the care of the radiographers whilst they undergo various imaging procedures. Coordinating both in‑ and outpatient requests for interventional radiology procedures and controlling the stock/rotation of clinical consumables and medication used within the department. Therefore great communication and organisational skills are essential.
The successful applicant will be supported whilst gaining experience in the care of the patient undergoing a range of radiology interventional procedures. Experience of scrub nurse duties for sterile procedures and cardiac monitoring will be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
Main duties of the job
* Part of a multidisciplinary team of nurses, radiographers, radiology clinical support workers and consultant radiologists.
* Training as a scrub nurse and/or circulatory assistant during procedures.
* Monitoring and ensuring safe discharge of the patient post procedure.
* Ordering and monitoring stock levels of radiology consumables.
* Flexible working to ensure workload is covered.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Registered General Nurse Level 1.
* Current NMC registration.
* Relevant post‑basic courses and/or experience to postgraduate diploma level.
* Knowledge of audit.
* The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.
Experience
* Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant specialty, statutory and mandatory training.
* Experience in radiology.
* Previous experience over a broad range of nursing modalities such as general medicine, cardiology, orthopaedics or theatre.
* Experience of supervising junior staff.
Language Skills
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
