Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach relevant subjects across S1-S6, contributing to curriculum development, assessment, pupil guidance, safeguarding, and school planning. They will join our STEM Mathematics and Numeracy faculty, working to close the attainment gap.
Key duties include:
1. Teaching assigned classes with preparation and correction
2. Developing the school curriculum
3. Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' work
4. Preparing pupils for examinations and assisting with administration
5. Providing advice and guidance to pupils
6. Promoting health, welfare, and safety of pupils
7. Working with parents, support staff, and professionals
8. Engaging in professional development
9. Participating in school planning and achievement initiatives
10. Maintaining good order and supporting school needs

Job Requirements
Qualifications: Registered with GTCS as a teacher of the relevant subject, with full registration for permanent posts or provisional for temporary posts.
PVG Membership: This role involves regulated work with vulnerable groups, requiring PVG Scheme membership or update prior to employment.
Applicants with more than 3 months of UK outwith work or residence in the last 5 years must provide an overseas criminal record check.
Additional Notes: Salary adjustments may occur if employment starts after the school session begins, in accordance with Teachers Conditions of Service.
