The Role Scope
We operate in a fast-paced, competitive retail environment, so we're looking for someone with a keen interest in buying, some relevant experience, and the drive to learn and grow in a dynamic team.
✨Role key responsibilities:
1. Working with the buying teams to shape the product direction for the department, ensuring that it is aligned to the brand and divisional strategy
2. Be able to analyse data and sales performance, inventory levels, and other relevant KPI’s
3. Delivering department KPIs to drive margin and profit, identifying and addressing any risks, in partnership with Merchandising
4. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to secure the best deals.
5. Anticipating the needs of the customer, using sales and trend data to make commercial product decisions.
6. Trading effectively by identifying gaps in ranges and potentializing opportunities that will have the biggest impact on dept performance, whilst effectively managing risk
7. Building and leveraging relationships with a network of appropriate internal teams and external suppliers
8. Keeping up to date with trends and competitor activity
