Fixed Term Assistant Business Manager
Contract: Fixed Term until September 2025, 37.5 hours/weekly, any 5 out of 7 days

JOB PURPOSE
In line with the F&B vision and mission, the Assistant Business Manager works in synergy with the Business Manager to lead an energetic and passionate team dedicated to creating memorable experiences with clients. They support retail activities that enhance the brand’s image and market leadership, liaising with field and head office functions. In the absence of the Business Manager, they will step up to support daily operations and team coaching, considering the entire client pathway, including omni-channel.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leading the team: guides their team towards achieving results and developing individual talents
* Create an environment of ethics, integrity, and diversity, fostering positive collaboration
* Address employee relations issues in accordance with company policies and share performance feedback
* Facilitate team and individual communication for collective knowledge sharing
* Share the brand vision and boutique challenges, empowering the team while holding them accountable
Business developer: embodies an entrepreneurial spirit
* Build CHANEL’s client portfolio through data capture in line with brand expectations
* Develop business initiatives aligned with brand vision and strategy
* Define, track, and coach the team to meet KPIs
* In the absence of a Business Manager, manage staff rotas and daily operations for optimal client experience
* Coordinate retail and collateral stock needs, ensuring smooth delivery operations
* Network within the community to elevate brand presence
* Manage loss prevention activities, including security and inventory control
* Understand the business environment and provide feedback to influence strategies
Experience creator: creates conditions for consistent, memorable experiences
* Lead by example on the selling floor, creating personalized client experiences
* Consider the omni-channel journey, embracing digital trends
* Resolve client service complaints holistically to ensure satisfaction
* Equip the team with tools and training to deliver CHANEL’s client experience
* Maintain visual merchandising standards and a welcoming boutique environment

* Possess strong knowledge of the brand, heritage, and know-how
* Implement training and pursue continuous learning
* Adhere to uniform and grooming guidelines
Boutique operations: ensures operational excellence
* Support management of counter operations, ensuring compliance and procedures
* Oversee daily operations including opening/closing, security, and cleanliness
* Manage stock, testers, and samples for quick turnover and accuracy
* Ensure safety and health procedures are followed
