Position Overview:
As a Quality Engineer at Lear, you will play a critical role in ensuring world-class standards across our manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Senior Quality Engineer, you will lead quality initiatives, solve complex problems, and support new project launches. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll influence strategic decisions and champion continuous improvement to deliver exceptional results for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance with IATF16949, ISO standards, and customer-specific requirements.
2. Maintain and update quality documentation, including Control Plans, PFMEA, and Process Flow Diagrams.
3. Perform and monitor SPC activities for current production and new project launches.
4. Conduct and maintain MSA studies to validate measurement system accuracy and reliability.
5. Analyze SPC/MSA results, identify trends, and lead root cause investigations for deviations.
6. Lead structured problem-solving using 8D, DMAIC, and other methodologies.
7. Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
8. Support PPAP submissions and APQP deliverables for new product launches.
9. Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns.
10. Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and drive continuous improvement.
Key skills and Qualifications:
11. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
12. Solid analytical mindset with 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
13. Experienced in using core quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC and MSA.
14. Knowledge of IATF standards and problem-solving methodologies.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
