The Hays senior finance interim & contracts team are supporting a valued public sector client with the appointment of an Interim Assistant Chief Accountant on a long-term assignment (minimum 12 months, January 2026 to potentially March 2028).
We’re looking for a qualified accountant with strong localernment experience who can support the full financial remit:
1. Accounts preparation
2. Quarterly budget monitoring
3. Audit queries
4. Budget setting
5. Business cases & financial implications reviews
Key Details:
6. Day Rate: £500–£600 per day (flexible for the right person)
7. Hybrid Working: 1–2 days per week on-site (free parking)
8. Interviews: As early as next Friday
9. Start: This month
