An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded Finance Director to join a fast-growing engineering and manufacturing business with global operations. This is a senior leadership role with full ownership of the finance function and a clear mandate to modernise, transform and prepare the business for its next phase of growth.
The Finance Director will provide financial leadership across the UK manufacturing business and the wider Group, ensuring strong governance, legal compliance, and strategic financial planning. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on financial management, requiring commercial acumen, international coordination, and oversight of M&A activities to drive growth and maximise value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and own the finance function, driving strategic direction and financial performance.
* Modernise and transform financial systems, processes, and reporting.
* Provide strategic and commercial insight to the CEO and leadership team.
* Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and group reporting.
* Provide financial leadership across multiple UK and international sites.
* Play a central role in preparing the business for a future sale or investment event.
* Lead on strategic projects including international expansion and acquisitions.
About You:
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with senior leadership experience.
* Strong background in engineering, manufacturing, or an aligned industrial sector.
* Demonstrable multisite financial operational experience.
* Proven track record in finance transformation.
* Experienced in M&A and business sale preparation.
* Commercially astute with the gravitas to operate at Board level.
