Job title: Communications and Marketing Executive
Location: Hybrid / Sevenoaks, Kent TN13 (minimum 2 days in office)
Contract: 12-month Fixed Term
Hours: 37 per week (Mon–Thurs 8:45–5:15, Fri 8:45–4:45)
Salary: £36,000 per annum
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Communications and Marketing Executive to support the delivery of key internal and external campaigns. This is a varied, creative role where you’ll contribute to a wide range of projects, helping to bring organisational values and messages to life across multiple channels.
Working as part of a dynamic team, you’ll help shape and deliver the annual communications and marketing strategy, supporting campaigns that matter to both customers and staff.
Key responsibilities
1. Plan, deliver and evaluate communications campaigns across multiple platforms
2. Write and edit engaging content for websites, intranets, press releases, social media, and printed materials
3. Support internal departments with campaign planning and messaging
4. Contribute to website content, user experience, and updates
5. Liaise with media on low-level enquiries and help manage press engagement
6. Coordinate internal and external events, marketing materials, and induction support
7. Work with external agencies (e.g., designers, photographers) to support creative delivery
8. Monitor and report on campaign and channel performance using analytics and feedback
9. Participate in an out-of-hours communications rota (approx. one weekend per month, with TOIL)
Qualifications and Experience Required
10. Experience in a communications or marketing role, ideally in a corporate or public sector setting
11. Strong writing and editing skills across multiple formats
12. Ability to manage multiple projects and engage diverse audiences
13. Familiarity with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and basic design/editing (e.g., Canva, Adobe)
14. Confidence working with internal stakeholders and media contacts
15. Knowledge of communications strategy and audience segmentation
16. Basic understanding of data/analytics (e.g., web or intranet performance)
17. A proactive, flexible team player with excellent time management
Desirable:
18. Experience working in a regulated or housing environment
19. Familiarity with Google Analytics, Hotjar, or intranet analytics
20. Confident using design tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, Canva)
21. Project management or campaign coordination experience
