A Radiographic Assistant assists Radiographers, Sonographers, and Consultant Radiologists in a Radiology department, working under direct supervision. They support patient care, equipment, and administrative tasks within the department.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
* Patient Care: Preparing patients for examinations, including changing into gowns, assisting with procedures, and providing basic patient care like toileting.
* Equipment Handling: Assisting with equipment setup and maintenance, including interventional procedures.
* Image Processing: Assisting with image processing and filing.
* Administrative Support: Managing patient flow, booking appointments, answering phones, and completing necessary paperwork.
* Communication and Liaison: Liaising with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Training and Mentoring: May assist in the training and mentoring of new staff.
