Adult Homelessness Support Worker - Martin House & Hatfield Road\n\nDo you want to make a real difference in people’s lives? As a Support Worker, you’ll help adults experiencing homelessness overcome challenges like mental health issues, substance misuse, and unemployment. Your support will empower them to build life skills and move towards independent living-typically within two years.\n\nYou will work across two services that provide medium to high levels of support, and your work will be essential in creating a safe, stable, and empowering environment:\n\nMartin House - Offers 16 self-contained flats with shared gardens and communal spaces - ideal for building trust and motivation through creative engagement.\n\nHatfield Road - A smaller, more communal setting for five male residents, requiring a flexible, hands-on approach.
Both services provide medium to high support, and your role will be key in creating a safe, stable, and empowering environment.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\nAssess needs and develop personalised support plans\nPromote independence through life skills such as cooking, cleaning, and budgeting\nFollow and contribute to risk assessments and management plans\nSupport aspirations and help individuals achieve their goals\nEngage with residents in a variety of ways, including creative and informal approaches\nSupport individuals to attend appointments and access external services\nDeliver trauma-informed support that recognises and responds to individual experiences\nCarry out regular building checks to ensure safety and securityWorking hours:\nThis is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) worked on a rota basis.
